Coming Events

 

During the year, the Farm holds various events centered around equestrian activities.  These are where the public is welcome and all around participation is invited.

These are the events that we have had in the past which have come to be annual affairs:

Spring Fling - is a fun show where participants engage in fun competition with games like Pony Express, Barrel Racing, Raise the Flag all fun where everyone can compete in a less serious show.

Summer Camps - over the past four years, the Farm has held a series of summer camps, all aimed at providing attendees with a better understanding of horses and equestrian activities. This is all done with an emphasis on having fun. Learn more about our past summer camps offerings

Fall Fun Fest - this show is somewhat the same as the Spring Fling show EXCEPT, it is also our Halloween Costume Show Extravaganza. We have many of the same competition events, but the real deal is the costume competition where horse and rider are costumed usually together as a theme. Over the years, the costumes (for riders and horse ) have been innovative and downright cool.

Halloween Fest - this has been running every weekend for the entire month of October. There is a pumpkin patch ( sorry, we have yet to grow our own ), pony rides, hay rides, food, free games and other fun activities.

Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot - this event is to honor our forefathers who had to go out and bag their own turkeys. The kids are the shooters with bows and arrow and the turkeys are a bulls-eye on a round hay bale. They are given the choice of shooting from the ground or from the back of a horse. This gives the kids a chance to bag a turkey or a pie for the family Thanksgiving feast. It is a lot of fun.

Christmas at the Farm - each Sunday during the Christmas season. we have a celebration of Christmas at the farm where the children ( young and old ) can have fun and enjoy the time of year. The kids and adults can go for a hay ride, take a pony ride, visit with Santa, share a reading of Christmas stories by Mrs. Claus or just enjoy getting outside and having fun. As with all of our other events, there will be good food and company.


As we go through the year, we constantly tying to determine how to make the Farm better and more fun. Held November 21st - 11:00 - 3:00.

This is your chance to test your bow and arrow skills either standing or from horseback. Turkeys, pies and other goodies will be awarded to those who win. Come on out and try your skills at winning the vittles. There will be lots of fun for everyone.  Click here to see pictures of the 2007 event
