Kinder Lessons

In the past, our lesson plan has only addressed those students who were seven and older, but increasing requests from parents pointed to the fact that the younger children are capable of learning and able to handle the proper horse with the proper level of instruction.

The level of instruction is aimed at making the student comfortable around a horse while learning to properly groom and tack the horse in preparation for riding.

Elementary riding instruction will teach the Kinder Student to mount/dismount, proper seat, how to handle the reins and guiding the horse.

Once the student is comfortable on the horse and can successfully handle it in preliminary exercises they may then graduate to the regular lesson plans where the emphasis is now on riding technique.

The idea is to establish a base of competency upon which further instruction can be placed.

We think that this will be a natural extension to our program of riding lessons and invite your inquiries.
